Hi everyone! Wedding season is officially here. Lucky for us, this calls for some retail therapy. As previously mentioned, I went to a wedding in Hawaii. At the time, it was a little chaotic because we were heading to the big island, Kona, which was/is having an active volcano. Thankfully, it was safe enough to travel, and we were all still able to attend the wedding and be a part of our friends’ special day. It was so fun coming up with outfit ideas for my date and I. Since the wedding was in Hawaii, I wanted to do something fun with our looks. Classic, comfortable, and chic is what we were going for. I decided to pair a halter dress with an open-toe strappy heel, completed with some of my favorite accessories. For my date, I styled him in khakis, a white button up, with suspenders and a bowtie.

It was super hot and humid when we were there so the curls in my hair started coming undone. Fortunately, it was still nice and ended up looking effortless. Despite it being a little hot during the ceremony, our outfits were perfect for the occasion and it was still comfortable by the time we were at the reception. I was really pleased with the fact that we were both able to eat and dance the night away. This was the first wedding I’ve been to in Hawaii, so I was really surprised to find out how laid back it was. In some ways, we were probably a little overdressed because even the groomsmen and some guests wore Hawaiian shirts. We weren’t clear how formal or casual the wedding would be, but everything worked out fine. It was such a beautiful wedding, and I think everyone had a great time being surrounded by so much love!
