Hi everyone! I hope you’re all having a fantastic start of the week. I can barely contain my excitement for this week’s post. As previously mentioned, I was attending a destination wedding at Banff National Park. Now, I’ve heard so many great things about this place but wow – to see it all in person was more beautiful than words can describe. I know that pictures will never do justice but I hope that this can give you a glimpse into how magical this place is. It was like straight out of a Disney storybook. My date actually said I resembled Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast lol.
The wedding venue itself was at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, a lakeside hotel that offered a breathtaking view of the most turquoise lake I’ve ever seen. The wedding reception was perched on the side of a hill, overlooking the picturesque lake with towering mountaintops blanketed in glacial ice as it’s backdrop. With this description in mind, I lowkey want to get married here now lol! It was that incredible… I was blown away by how simple, yet elegant the wedding was. I loved every little detail and just how thoughtful they were in terms of how to accommodate their guests. From the check-in table with large windows overlooking the lake, to the plate settings with design intricacies and blooming center pieces, and the long table arrangement that brought the hall together – I loved how effortless and beautiful everything was.
For this wedding, I went with a gorgeous yellow dress that had crochet details. It was so comfortable and exactly what I wanted for the occasion. This summer, I’ve been really into yellows. I’ve learned to appreciate almost every variation of it. This dress was only $40 and was from Forever21. You guys are probably going to witness that it’s one of my favorite places to shop. Being a student, I just love how trendy and affordable their clothing is. Paired with this dress is an acrylic clutch I got from Love Culture, and some nude heels from DTLA’s fashion district. I thought it would be fun to rock a see-through clutch with this outfit and it was a hit! So many people complimented my ensemble, which made me feel more fancy than I really was. (Little did they know it was a super affordable outfit I put together lol!)
I also want to give a huge shout out to my boyfriend, who is sometimes the man behind the lens. He has been my biggest fan, always supporting me and all of my aspirations. Without him, I wouldn’t be able to see the world the way that I have been. I am just so thankful to have found my person, such a hardworking and loving man, who has slowly made all of my dreams come true. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, my love.
Be sure to check back next week because I have lots of exciting content to share with you!
